Description
The bike racks in front of the Oakland Public Library (Main) are installed in a place that is very hard to see from any location. Unless you are in the immediate area the racks are practically hidden - which is making them a very easy target for bicycle theft. Library security is unable to do anything about it since they cannot monitor the bicycle racks all day. Bicycles are being stolen or stripped multiple times per week.

Hi,
I spoke with staff at the main library. We couldn't come up with a better location for the bike racks. Do you have a suggestion? We could put up signs, but I'm not sure that would help. Please let me know your ideas (and sorry for not responding to this sooner!). Feel free to contact me directly or post here.
