Notified About

  • Chantilly Lane Salisbury NC, USA - Salisbury
I live in the Olde Salisbury sub-division. The entire development is wired for street lights and about 3/4 of the neighborhood has them up and running. I live in the third phase of the development , have been here for 3 years and there are still no street lights. We call this part of the neighborhood the cave. I have been on the phone with the town of Salisbury, Duke Energy, the developers and builders and no one wants to take responsibilty for the lights. It is pitch black in this area and there has been alot of activity here: speeding, vandelism, my neighbors home was broken into. I think for safety sake there has got to be something done in this area.

and also holes in road near the gazebo.
  • Innes Street At I 85 - Salisbury
City of Salisbury says DOT is responsible for fixing the potholes on Innes street where southbound I 85 traffic comes down the ramp and onto Innes Street heading toward Granite Quarry. DOT has apparently patched the hole several times but it will not stay patched because water keeps seeping through and tearing up the road again. Do you think you can get this solved? I do not want my name used but do want the problem solved.
  • 200-298 E 14th St Salisbury, NC 28144, USA - Salisbury
Everytime it rain the street floods. The city has known about this all the way back to 1994 and has been contacted several time. Each time saying there going to fix it and mark the road but continues to do nothing about it. They known the run off for a trucking company drains right into the roadway and we are forced to close the road with ever rain.

  • 3798 S Main St Salisbury, NC 28147, USA - Salisbury
In 2 days and in less than 5 mins on each day I've seen 5 cars make illegal left turns across the rail at this location. I can only imagine how many more do it on a daily basis. Either drivers aren't aware that they can't make a left turn over the tracks, or they are aware and don't care. I'm not sure if the solution is to make larger signs that are more visible to motorists or getting a police officer to start issuing tickets. When people knowingly disobey basic traffic rules, it puts all of us in danger. And during rush hour this intersection at Main and W. Alabama is already crazy.

  • 314 North Ellis St. Salisbury, NC 28144, USA - Salisbury
At the beginning of each school year we are given a form from the school system titled "Emergency Contact Information" There is a spot for child information, both parents, and a place to list 2 neighbors, family members, etc whom can take responsibility for your child if you can not be contacted. Those forms are being misused. If you are not one of the parents or the randomly chosen people on the emergency contact form, you can not enter the school to eat lunch with a child or attend a class party or awards ceremony. I watched a grandmother today trying to attend a class party for her granddaughter with the child's mother and father. The grandmother lives out of town. She was told she was not aloud to attend the party and was asked to leave the building. The people I approve to eat lunch with my child and the 2 closest people to be contacted for emergencies are very different. I believe the school system should produce a different form where we can say who can attend events and eat lunch with our kids.
