Parks Request ArchivedFarnam Dr New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - East RockI would like to request that Farnum Drive and Park Drive in East Rock Park remain closed forever! There are so many people who cannot use the trails (or are afraid of them) who are taking advantage of using the roads to walk in the park. Jogger, walker, stroller, pets, the elderly, bicyclists...it's amazing! When open, the traffic on those roads is dangerous with many vehicles speeding and driving recklessly. I have also noticed there there is NO DUMPING happening now that the roads are closed. Please consider NOT re-opening those roads to traffic.

Traffic Signal / Pedestrian Signal AcknowledgedAshmun St & Lock St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Downtown
This is an incredibly dangerous intersection for drivers, pedestrians, and cyclists. It is a high-volume intersection because drivers from Dixwell and Newhallville uses this route to get downtown. There is a stop sign for drivers on Lock St but no other safety features. Therefore, there is absolutely NO safe way for pedestrians to cross: No crosswalk, no 3-way stop, no traffic light. Drivers frequently turn without checking for pedestrians. A cyclist was hit recently and many pedestrians avoid this intersection. It’s a matter of time before a fatal accident happens.
I would like to request a new Pedestrian crossing sign and a painted (ideally raised) crosswalk. It would also help if this was a 3-way Stop to reduce speeds. Thank you for your consideration.

Sidewalks and Curb damage Acknowledged70 Audubon St New Haven, CT, 06510, USA - Town_Green
The square tiles in the plaza on Audubon St, near Lincoln Way, are getting loose and are getting scattered around. It looks bad and someone potentially could trip.
It would be great if this public space could be repaired before it deteriorates more. Thanks!

Health Dept. Archived1-91 Cliff St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Prospect HillEdgerton Park is a dog-on-leash park, and yet many, I would say increasingly most dog owners are allowing their dogs off the leash and treating it like a dog park. I understand that everyone needs to get out and get fresh air, but I have not had a visit in the past year with my kids without dogs off the leash harassing us, sometimes aggressively. Dog owners, keep your dog on a leash. Nobody wants to play with your dog. New Haven Police and Animal Control, please enforce the leash laws. My kids have been threatened and charged by dogs there, and have become increasingly skittish. Even if the dog is friendly, we don't want them in our space, be it playing soccer, having a picnic, or sledding.

Private Property Issue Archived858 State St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - SOHUThis new restaurant opened last weekend. Every night since they opened I have had to walk though staff not wearing masks, or with masks pulled down, waiting on the outside tables. Last weekend and again last night, the bar had customers sitting next to each other at a crowded bar.
New Haven businesses are working so hard to keep customers safe and to avoid another shut down. Can somebody work with this new businesses to help them understand the restrictions and plan and train accordingly. -
