Sometimes people put wood chips, etc., in fountains and plug them up and the fountains get nasty. This was the case last week. My husband removed the debris, unstopped fountains, and cleaned them.
Thank you for reporting! Public Works has one full-time Maintenance worker whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. This person usually makes 2 or more trips to the dump everyday, with each load weighing in around 1,200 pounds. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.
