"Camp Kmart." If the City is going to allow such blatant camping, they should at least require the parcel owner to have Porta-Potties, keep the trash picked up, and have the camps be tidy. How are all those campers going to the bathroom? The entire area is on the wetlands; that's where all that human waste will be going.
Better yet, if the City is going to tolerate so many homeless encampments, find a piece of property on the outskirts of town -- maybe at the end of Benicia Rd. Turn that into a regular camp, with some sort of bathroom/Porta-Potties, waste pick-up, & management of trashy campers.
Since when did it become ok to pitch a tent wherever you want to and to blatantly leave your trash around?
Thanks for reporting this issue! Actual address of the lot is 510 REDWOOD. Code Enforcement Officer Hodgins has an active case on the property, case reference #CE19-1987. You may visit our online tracking system, eTRAKiT, to view updates on current cases at http://web.ci.vallejo.ca.us/eTRAKiT3/ (please allow several business days for information to upload). SeeClickFix is one of the many tools available to the citizens of Vallejo to report non-emergency issues. We “close” an issue in SeeClickFix once we've acknowledged the complaint; however, this issue is not "Closed" per se; it will remain an "Open" case with us until it is corrected. If there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know. Thank you for using SeeClickFix!
This location has had multiple cases. The last one opened only after 1 month having closed the previous. As Vallejo Codes, no warning letters are required if the same infraction occurs within one year, straight to fines. Why is Walmart getting “warning letters” when they should be fined outright.
