First, I must say that the house on the corner of Sutter Street & Quincy Alley (1615 Sutter Street), where this incident occurs, has be vacant for two years. During that time it as been constantly barraged by trespassers, vagrants, squatters, vandals, and trash dumpers. VFD crews have been sent twice in the last three months to address illegal burning, with a serious incident occurring two years ago that partially destroyed the inside, leaving the house in Red Tag status ever since. Emergency Constructions Services have repeatedly boarded up the property (with VPD on hand to expel a dozen trespassers each time), only to have violators return, undeterred!

Needless to say, this property is a scourge on the neighborhood, and a testament to Vallejo's inability to step in and resolve this, and similar issues, which seriously impact our community, our property values, and the mental wellbeing of our neighbors!

Until Vallejo figures out how to solve this problem permanently, we have this imperfect mechanism "SeeClickFix"!

I understand that Recology Vallejo has stepped up, and can directly see to problems of illegal dumping. I am requesting that this report be sent to them directly. In our neighborhood, we have a group of volunteers, that do monthly cleanups of the alleys in our area, with support from the City's Adopt-a-Block program. The extreme excess and intensity of this dumping far exceeds what I can expect volunteers to cope with!

This reported debris is in the public alley just to the west of the 1615 property.

This location is in Quincy Alley, one lot west of Sutter Street. Bags of stinking food waste, large PVC piping, lumber and other general trash. This is blocking access to the resident's garage!
  • Quincy Aly Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
This is located in Quincy, about 50 feet west of the intersection of Sutter Street and Quincy Alley. It is a commercial ice cream freezer, the type you might see at Baskin Robins or a convenience store (not something dumped by your average person!). It is surrounded by other debris (the collection of which is rapidly expanding) and a wayward Recology recycling cart (not belonging to anyone on this block).

This is a large amount of tree trimming debris. This was reported on SCF several weeks ago and at the time included other types of accumulated garbage, all of which partially blocked the alley. The issue was reported as resolved and closed, but they only removed the garbage, and left the branches. I called PW to report this, and was informed tht they had spoken to the property owner, and that their contractor was going to be removing the branches. This has been two weeks ago, and the branches remain. Please follow up with the property owner and require them to have the branches removed, or send PW to do it.
  • 1411 El Dorado Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
Bags and a plastic bin dumped on the sidewalk. This is on the Northwest corner of Alabama and El Dorado Streets
  • 1601-1649 Sutter St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
When this vehicle first arrived, my recollection is that it had license plates. Since it is parked where I usually place my Recology carts, I would have noticed. Now, the front and rear plates are gone.

Starting near the pictured power pole, there is a path of water running down the alley....

Interesting that you don't state to not report a water leak on SeeClickFix until I have already created the incident, and you website directs one to SeeClickFix to report leaks! Please get it together!

Napa St & Virginia St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
Looks like an out of control vehicle knocked down the stop sign on the northeast corner of Virginia and Napa Streets. This must have happened on April 2nd. The sign was stolen from the pole by April 4th. The pole is present, but laying on the sidewalk! This is not my neighborhood (just noticed it while on our walk) so I assumed a local would report it. Guess not! Just returned from a month away and the sign has not been replaced! This is certainly a hazard. Drivers in Vallejo frequently ignore stop signs... and a missing sign gives them the chance to do so with impunity!
  • 902 Florida St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
The closest street address is actually the address of Kyles Temple African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church on Florida, but the vehicle is parked on Napa Street. This abandoned truck with smashed out glass has junk in the bed, which is spilling out onto the street and sidewalk.
  • 900 Alabama St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
Near the corner of Alabama and El Dorado Streets. This red truck has been reported as an abandoned vehicle, and it certainly is that! But far worse is the illegal dumping taking place there! People are literally "piling on" more an more garbage every day, in and around the truck. It has become a magnet for dumpers. If you can't tow the truck, please, at least clear out the garbage bags before they spill out and infest the entire neighborhood!
  • 1619 Sutter St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
Located south facing on Sutter Street, just before Alabama Street, this vehicle first arrived on September 2nd. Initially it appeared that this vehicle had broken down, and a responsible party was attempting to repair it. Weeks later when I saw the same person removing the catalytic converter (of his own car?) I challenged him. He mumbled some story about how he needed to remove it before somebody else did. Since the car was clearly inoperable it was not worth a confrontation. This vehicle is covered with a car cover, a mode that I have begun to see around the neighborhood. It has two flat tires. Now, after a total of 47 days, it is still here, and needs to go away.
  • 641 Tennessee St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
This location is in Quincy Alley, midway between Sutter and Napa Streets. This picture shows only part of the mess. We are planning an Adopt-a-Block cleanup, but our city coordinator asked me to get this taken care of first.
  • 515 Tennessee St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
In Quincy Alley, between Sonoma and Sutter, 12 meters of cyclone/barbed wire fencing is down, partially blocking the alley. This is the back lot line of the Bay Auto Collision Repair shop located at 515 Tennessee. The entire fence is in very poor repair, allowing access to the roof of the building (also in very poor repair). It appears that the shop is now out of business (at least temporarily) as it is boarded up.
  • 1600-1648 Sutter St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo
Somehow, the grate for the storm drain has been removed, and is lying at the bottom of the drain. This must have just happened, since I walked past it on 30 minutes ago and it was fine! This results in a big dangerous hole! I put a cone out to alert passersby, but please fix this ASAP! Also, while you're down there, could you clean out the garbage?
  • 540 Tennessee St Vallejo, CA, 94590, USA - Vallejo

Apparently, the former used car lot on this corner has be transformed into a party/BBQ site. There is a truck parked there from the GSTACKS BBQ company. I'm not sure if this is a public or private affair.

The problem is that they play loud, thumpy music every day, well into the night (often past 10 p.m.). This music can be heard over a block away, even indoors! This seems really unfair that they are allowed to adversely affect the neighborhood so badly! There are elderly and sick neighbors, and children (the music frequently features obscene language!), Please make it stop!

Someone has dumped what appears to be a mattress or a pickup bed cover on the sidewalk at the northwest corner of Sutter Street and Quincy Alley.
  • 701 Alabama Street Vallejo, California - Vallejo
Someone has dumped a black couch near the fire hydrant on the Southeast corner of Sutter and Alabama. It is half on the sidewalk, half in the street, impeding access to the hydrant.
  • 503 I Street Vallejo California - Vallejo
There is a black Toyota 4Runner parked just off the dirt road which leads from Azure Road to the San Pablo Bay hiking trail on Mare Island. It has been there about two weeks. Initially, one might assume that it was abandoned, but I have seen people in the vehicle, and one day I pass it the windows are open, the next day the windows are closed. The license plate has also recently been removed. I have observed different patterns of litter nearby. This all leads me to believe that it might be occupied at night. Given the recent spat of break ins (with gate chains being cut after hours almost nightly) and scavengers removing copper from the Western Magazine, near the southern end of the trail, I suspect that this vehicle could be a base of operations for the scavengers. I am a senior citizen who uses the trail regularly, as do many families and and runners (often women) so it is disconcerting to think that we may encounter criminals while we are unprotected on the trail, over a mile from the road. Please investigate, and at least remove this vehicle.
