  • Street Light Acknowledged
Auto Mall Pkwy Vallejo, CA, 94591, USA - Vallejo
I know this is not City of Vallejo right-of-way, but these streetlights have been off for about three months. I will submit a request to Caltrans, but please follow up with them. If a crash occurs, the City will be partly at fault for knowing about the situation and not doing anything. I have seen this before. Please do not give the excuse that you do not have staff available. I will be contacting City Council in two weeks if I do not see action. Thank you.

This is the fourth open request to look at this intersection. If this is not resolved in two weeks, I will inform City Council. See my comment at the Plaza and Costco entrance. I made this request at this intersection six months ago and I have not seen so much as a reply. I do not want to hear the excuse about not having the staff to reply to public messages. Thank you.

I am the second person to report this. Do something and reply to me. I will be contacting City Council in two weeks if this is not resolved. Please don't give excuses of not having the staff available to respond to these messages.

Looks like I am the third person to report this. This light has not worked right in months. I run it every time I get gas at Costco. Please fix it. If this post is not responded to in two weeks, I will inform City Council. This is your opportunity to work directly with citizens without getting your leadership into the minutia and allowing them to deal with big things. Thank you.

I have a question and hope that you can respond to me or point me to a good contact within the Public Works Department. This intersection is particularly dangerous for bicyclists because of the narrow lanes and the lack of a shoulder. Bicyclists currently use the five foot sidewalk, which completely inadequate especially if there is a pedestrian. Is there any consideration to restripe the eastbound road from Ebbetts Pass Road to Sonoma Blvd to eliminate the through lane so there is only a dedicated left and right turn lane? Bicyclists should be able to choose a safe path to turn right (most of them do) or go straight through to the abandoned Walmart (another issue).

Without the benefit of having measured it, there seems to be plenty of room without moving the median. I understand there may have to be some signal loop modifications to do this, but that pavement is in such bad condition, I think it needs to be done anyway. If the median needs to be moved, I think we can also improve the intersection at Ebbetts Pass Road as well. Is two receiving lanes indeed necessary or are there actually plans to add a second left turn lane from northbound Sonoma Blvd onto westbound Meadows Drive?

Expanding further, Meadows drive west of this intersection is very dangerous to bicyclists because of speeding passing traffic. Have you considered a road diet to remove the four lanes and take it down to three (two through and a center left turn)? There would be adequate room for bike lanes next to the parking lanes and it would likely slow down the traffic because people would no longer be able to pass. Now would be the time to do it since the pavement needs to be reconstructed. It is in terrible condition, especially after the waterline project. I would be greatly disappointed to see the City return the same striping configuration to the road after successful road diet projects on Sonoma Blvd through downtown, Oakwood Avenue, and Georgia Street.

I would appreciate a written response or a referral to a real person on this. I will continue to elevate through the city process up through the City Council until I get a response but would prefer to start at the lowest possible level, which is using See Click Fix.

To all my fellow See Click Fix commenters, please add to this post if you agree.

Thank you for taking the time to read this long post.

The magnetic loops in the right lane of the left turn pocket (from northbound Admiral Callaghan to westbound Auto Mall Pkwy) are not working. The left lane works. I notice this early in the morning when there are few other cars. Please repair these loops. Thank you.

Ebbetts Pass Road is getting out of control. Noted ones fixed near Donner Pass Road but about five massive potholes exist between here and the curve. By the way, please schedule road for complete reconstruction. It's that bad. Thank you.

Car with expired plates has been here for months. Noted two other posts for the same vehicle. When can you remove the car from our street? This makes our neighborhood look bad. Thank you.

Signal timing favors AutoClub. Especially bad in early morning. People often give up and run the light. Please investigate and fix. Thank you!

The valve at the intersection of Ebbetts Pass and Donner Pass is leaking. It seems to have started when the City fixed the leak in front of the apartments.

Several (at least three) potholes have opened up in the middle of the street. Two things: (1) please repair the potholes (2) please provide update on status for repavement of Ebbetts Pass Road between Donner Pass Rd and Bidwell Rd, which is in poor condition.

Gang grafitti and the F-word on a control box and fence. Please remove ASAP. This is not Caltrans right-of-way.

Fix lighted streetname lights. They are nearly invisible at night time, and my guests have trouble finding the street. Note there are many other intersections in the City that are missing the lights.
