What about the fact that they have cones blocking about four spots when their permit doesn't start until next week? Imagine if a resident would just block some spots because we wanted to reserve it?

I want to know if the city will lift normal parking restrictions for 7 days we wont be able to find parking.

@Resident I've seen no official communication from the city regarding this matter, but this TU article indicates that all parking restrictions in Washington Park are lifted for the duration of this disruption. Whether or not you or your vehicle would be safe in that location is obviously of no concern to the city administration or mega corporations who get brooklyn-on-a-budget settings thanks for tax credits.

It's sad that the city has provided no communication to residents around this and you only learn about these "plans" from a newspaper.

Albnyc, I think there has been some communication. It’s gone like this…
City of Albany: “HBO is taking over your neighborhood for a month and you can’t park anywhere. CYa!”

A functioning City: “Dear residents, we are really excited that HBO will be featuring your neighborhood, but it will come with unfortunate disruptions. We have arranged to have all Washington Park residents with an active parking permit to be able to park in Lot X, and HBO has graciously agreed to offer a 24 shuttle service to that lot. Residents can request the shuttle at 518-555-PIPI.” It’s not hard to do.

Exactly the point. There’s (decent) clarity about what you CANNOT do, with ZERO accommodation made for assisting those that are impacted.

an attempt to mitigate the anticipated impact on parking, normal parking regulations will be suspended for the duration of the filming in the affected areas, which includes from Quail Street to S. Swan Street and Washington Avenue to Madison Avenue, as well as all of Washington Park and Englewood Place. Move over and timed restrictions will NOT be in effect in the impacted areas.
