I concur with Sean Mulcahy's comment. There were several large groups of young people drinking and while it was Memorial Day , I sure would have liked to open a nice alcoholic beverage on the beach and toast the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives so I could enjoy myself on the beach. But I follow the rules and went with the idea that there is a time and place for everything. Ironically, I've had my badge checked several times over the years at Belmar, where were the badge-checkers yesterday? These young people also exhibited horrible beach etiquette as they used fould language all day and had no problem kicking sand all over everyone as they ran by. I don't deny anyone a good time, but yesterday was disheartening to say the least.
