Description
Hundreds of bike riders try to use Kalamazoo Street every day. But the bike lanes along the eastern end of K'zoo are ruined. They need to be repaired right away. For about a half-mile of K'zoo the bike lanes are unsafe to use. They are completely and continuously full of potholes and long rut "canyons." Also, in the vicinity of the US-127 overpass there are no lane markings -- restripe this area.

Thanks. Sweeping will be great and much appreciated.
I hope the County monitors this website. Patching, repair, restriping is urgently needed. It shouldn't be put off. Hopefully something can be done to somewhat improve things until the major work.
Potholes are a nuisance to cars, but a hazardous mile of ruined bike lanes is even worse for hundreds of bikers. It puts bikers at risk of injury due to the constant swerving and need to ride out in the road and not even try to use the bike lane.
