If you had consulted a geological map before buying your house (always a good idea in an earthquake prone region), you would have found that Vallejo's hills are everywhere prone to springs. Good luck with your law suit.

No one is talking "lawsuit" here, so don't get ahead of yourself Theo. Not all of us immediately jump to the litigious place.

I took Theo's comment, "Good luck with your law suit," as both an encouragement towards a positive outcome in the event that a law suit happens, and, as nothing more than true sarcasm in the knowledge that regardless if a law suit happens, at this point, nothing will ever be done either way.

Who knows, SCF warps your sense of humor, so I could be wrong in my understanding, or it could have just got ahead of myself.

I/we have no interest in suing the city, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone did that to us. In today's society people look for any reason to bring suit against another person or entity.

The City of Vallejo Water Department is aware of this issue and have had several active investigations to confirm this is not city water. It has been determined as a natural spring that first appeared after the 2014 earthquake. It has shifted it's pop up point to several houses on Valle Vista over the last few years. It has been reported that residents have had to take additional measures such as sump pumps or enhanced drainage to control the saturation on their property. I hope this information helps.
