Thank you for your interest and support, however, I haven't seen any repairs on Sanford St. in 52 years of living here and I have given up hope of ever seeing anything improving. It seems that when we vote for a councilperson they get their street repaired and see no need of repairing any other street even when it is in greater need. Our councilman, Mr. Flock has almost no influence on council.
I would like to have each Councilperson and our City Manager to drive Sanford St. from Richmond St. to St. Clair and tell me the street is not the worst in the city. I could only laugh at their opinion.

The road conditions on the North side of Rte. 2 have not been repaired in fifty three years. Sanford St. has not been repaved in all this time since I have lived here. Now, however, the road conditions are so bad that when anyone drives into this area they immediately think of slums.
I know of no country road which are in this condition. Why then are we expected to endure the bumps, holes, and the dissapearing edges of the roads in our neighborhoods? In some areas two vehicles cannot pass one another. When a school bus and a fire truck aproached each another the school bus had to pull onto the lawn to allow the emergengy vehicle to pass.
Painesville has money to fix the downtown area and roads near the largest factory but not the residential roads.
Now we have construction on Rt. 2 and the areas under the bridges are piling up with garbage and the road is being destroyed with the amount of water washing down from these construction sites. Who will be responsible for the repairs?
The residents of North Painesville, specifically Elm Street, William Street and Oak Street were promised improved roads and sidewalks with the building of Elm Street Elementary School. It's time you keep your promise. I have put over $2,000 in repairs to suspension of my vehicles in the last two years because of the horrible conditions.
