Thanks for reporting! The sandbags are there to comply with stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) requirements due to the construction that is happening within the park (the ADA upgrades on the ramp and stairs). I have forwarded this picture to the project manager, and he will have the contractors remove the sediment that is causing the blockage. He is also going to speak with VSFCD to see if there are other controls we can put in place so this doesn't keep happening while it rains.
