I think rocks are one of the cities new “solutions” to illegal dumping. They dropped a pile of virtually identical rocks at the end of Ohio Street and M.I. Prkwy, It’s a spot with chronic dumping and really ugly K rails that you see on the freeway with constant graffiti. Maybe somebody will respond and answer your question officially sometime soon.

This is in no way illegal dumping.

I hired a guy to come in on Friday 5/18/2018 to come prune it all and take it all out. It's bushes from my side of the fence growing over into the easement.

IF the gate can be unlocked, great, if not, then they will have to drag it through a hole in my fence, no problem. An unlock would be greatly appreciated though.

Thank you for reporting! The California Northern Railroad (CNR) manages these tracks. Here is a message from the CNR General Manager, Jake Harrison (jdharrison@gwrr.com):

"We are still interested in blocking off the road down at Derr street and we think we may start with putting up a chain or metal gate over the road to begin with. We are still assessing our options at this point and we will let you know once something has been done."

That comment does not address the issue that’s been listed here. And what was the upshot of the railroad reassessing the property lines? Has that happened yet? So did the railroad/mill place the rocks there? Is this the type of solution we should expect in the future?
