I filled in the hole where the drain is supposed to be with concrete because it was spewing in the air like a geyser and to keep my dog from tripping again. He is limping really bad now due to tripping and now arthritis. I had to have him treated for heart worms because the drain stays full of water at the street and only moves when it overflows and is full of mosquitos. Since filling in the hole I have two new large sinkholes because the water is trying to find a way to the creek behind my house. A simple fix is to run a backhoe and open up the drain to the creek. About a one hour job. The city will no respond. I have tried for about 8 years to get this done. They come out, look, scratch their heads and admit it is bad but I am not high on the priority list. I am on the high priority list when the water bill arrives. Last month it was $120 and $200 the month before that. Only my stepfather and I live here and we are both on disability. We are frugal with the water. We usual wash our clothes together once a week. We shower for about 6 minutes every other day. We urinate about 4 times before flushing. We never wash a vehicle here. My stepfather was a POW in Korea and I worked on a burn unit attached to the 82nd Airborne at Ft. Bragg during the Viet Nam era. That mean nothing to the local government who only care about making money with little effort I know they will never do anything.
See click and fix is a joke.
