Yes, as noted, there is nothing but trash along the south third of 5th street and it's been piling up since THANKSGIVING !! Vince M- you are not doing your job.

Thank you for reporting! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.

Once again, the "verified official" is lying or is being lied to. NOTHING has been picked up along 5th St, in fact, every couple days, new stuff is dumped there. NOTHING has been picked up along 5th on MONTHS !!

Sadly, this 5th street dumping ground continues to get worse and the city of Vallejo does nothing about this. Trash has been added to this street every week for MONTHS and nothing has been done to pick it up. Public works continuously tries to close this issue, tries to say they have taken care of the problem, but they haven't picked up anything. This is a disgrace, it is embarrassing; please remove this mess.

Can the supervisor make sure that the picking up occurs?

Update: Staff have removed illegal dumping from the right-of-way, and are going out again today to remove more. The dumping behind the sidewalk is on privately owned property. For that reason, we are assigning this issue to Code Enforcement. They will contact the property owner's to rectify this situation.
