Wow. That has already caused permanent, irreparable damage. The air pollution is another concern. In the morning, there is a thick bank of haze from the multiple fires burning. One can only imagine what they use to facilitate a fire. Ask for help, city of Vallejo. This is a public health emergency.

The woman at the Wildlife Refuge said that because they are federal they have no jurisdiction and referred me to the state. I submitted an online report with the Department of Fish & Wildlife. @Tax payer. Thank you for reporting it. It really is absolutely ridiculous that this is allowed. And yet there is no way to get some emergency fema type set up for homeless, that complies with the 9th circuit ruling while permanent solutions are being worked on. The price of doing nothing about this is much higher on all fronts. It's inhumane to leave unhoused humans in this filth and it's wrong to treat housed residents this way who want/need the city to succeed, more businesses to come here, which would bring more jobs, more tax payers. We all want to feel good about the place we call home....that includes everyone. The unhoused and housed. It's crazy how this is just left with no immediate action.

The Solano County General Plan Land Use Map designates the north side of State Route 37 as Marsh and Park and Recreation. The south side of the highway White Slough planning area as being part of the Napa Marsh and River, one of two more significant marsh areas in the county. The following are the land use objectives and policies adopted for this area:
Obiective: Preserve and enhance the quality and diversity of marsh aquatic and wildlife habitats.

Obiective: Preserve and enhance the water resources available to Solano County, and protect significant waterways and their habitats.

Policy: The County shall preserve and enhance wherever possible the diversity of wildlife and aquatic habitats found in the Napa Marsh...and surrounding upland areas to maintain these unique wildlife resources.

Policy: The County shall protect its marsh waterways, managed and natural wetlands, tidal marshes, seasonal marshes and lowland grasslands which are critical habitats for marsh-related wildlife.

This area is surrounded by District 4, the council member for District 4 is Charles Palmares.

Perhaps if they encamped on the home properties of the City Council, City Manger and City Attorney, something would finally be done? Just a thought. Nothing ELSE is getting their attention, apparently.
