And even more trash along the cemetery fenceline . the trash is out of control. The cemetery moved earth last year which mad an access road to the empty field. It is my understanding that the dumping is out of control. The cemetery needs to do their part and clean this mess up and block access to the empty field.
Thanks for reporting this issue! Public Works has an illegal dumping team whose sole job is to respond to illegal dumping reports throughout the City. On average this team removes 1,200 pounds of trash from public property every day. We strive to respond to all reports in a timely fashion. If you see someone dumping illegally please report the incident to the Vallejo Police Department.
Depositing garbage and debris onto public property is a violation Vallejo Municipal Code section 7.44.100 which is a misdemeanor offense with a penalty of $1,000 fine and/or up to 6 months in jail. Please do not move garbage and debris from private property to the street or alley.
